  • Set up, operate, and adjust cutting machines such as guillotines, trimmers, and automated cutting systems.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and layout guides.
  • Prepare materials for cutting by jogging, stacking, trimming, and aligning sheets.
  • Measure, program, and verify cutting dimensions using digital controls or manual adjustments.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy, clean edges, and correct sizing.
  • Maintain and sharpen cutting knives/blades or coordinate with maintenance when needed.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage, waste, and miscuts.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot errors or mechanical issues.
  • Keep accurate records of completed jobs, waste reports, and machine maintenance.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including safe handling of cutting blades and machine guards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
