ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Copywriter transforms ideas into compelling stories and purposeful narratives across channels. This role balances creativity with strategy, guiding junior copywriters while collaborating with art directors and project managers to deliver impactful, on-brief content. The position also involves coordination and workflow support to help ensure smooth processes and timely delivery of creative outputs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least five years of professional writing experience in advertising, content marketing, or digital communications.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling, and versatility across formats (social, editorial, campaigns).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Filipino).
  • Ability to balance creative ideas with client/business objectives.
  • Attention to detail, organizational discipline, and accountability.
  • Curiosity and openness to exploring new ideas, perspectives, and writing approaches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Strategy and Ideation

  • Develops and pitches creative concepts in collaboration with art, copy, and strategy leads.
  • Crafts narratives that are human-centered, empathetic, and purpose-driven.
  • Translates client briefs into creative strategies and compelling copy.
  • Stays informed on content, cultural, and industry trends to inspire relevant work.

Copy Development and Production

  • Produces high-quality copy for campaigns, social content, newsletters, reports, and other creative outputs.
  • Partners with art directors to ensure strong art-copy synergy in concepts and executions.
  • Supervises and edits output of copywriters; ensures clarity, creativity, and accuracy.
  • Ensures all deliverables meet project requirements, brand guidelines, and deadlines.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Works closely with Associate Creative Director, Creative Director, and Project Managers to align creative timelines and outputs.
  • Provides mentorship and constructive feedback to copywriters.
  • Contributes to internal brainstorms, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams.
