The
Sales Officer – Merchant Acquisition
is responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding new merchants to expand the company's network. This role involves generating leads, pitching the company's payment solutions or services, and ensuring merchants are actively engaged and transacting. The officer plays a key role in driving revenue growth and strengthening business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
· Merchant Acquisition:
Identify and approach potential merchants to onboard them onto the company's platform.
· Sales & Revenue Growth:
Promote company products/services to merchants, ensuring increased transactions and adoption.
· Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with merchants, addressing concerns and providing support.
· Market Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and merchant needs to refine acquisition tactics.
· Negotiation & Closing Deals:
Present proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements with merchants.
· Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all onboarding processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Educational Background:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
· Additional certifications in sales, business development, or fintech-related courses are an advantage.
Work Experience:
· At least
1–3 years
of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in
banking, fintech, payments, e-commerce, or retail
.
· Experience in
B2B sales, client relationship management, or partner acquisition
is highly preferred.
· Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets and onboarding new business partners.
· Full time and onsite, willing to work in BGC, Taguig area

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with merchants and stakeholders.
· Analytical Thinking:
Ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and merchant behavior to optimize acquisition strategies.
· Problem-Solving:
Quick decision-making and issue resolution to address merchant concerns efficiently.
· Goal-Driven & Self-Motivated:
Ability to work independently and achieve targets under minimal supervision.
· Tech-Savvy:
Demonstrates strong familiarity with digital payment solutions, including process workflows, compliance requirements, and supporting technologies.
