Position Title: Accounting Staff

Location: Veterans Drive Nivel Hills Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines

Job Summary

The Accounting Staff is responsible for managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. This includes monitoring customer accounts, issuing and processing invoices, handling collections, verifying vendor invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role is essential for maintaining healthy cash flow, accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial stability of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities


• Review, manage, and maintain accounts receivable and payable records with accuracy and up-to-date tracking.


• Generate, issue, and record invoices for sales, parts, services, and vendor payments.


• Contact customers to follow up on outstanding balances and resolve payment issues professionally.


• Process vendor invoices, match them with Purchase Orders and receiving reports, and prepare timely payments.


• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in the accounting system.


• Reconcile daily receipts, payables, and assist with monthly and year-end closings.


• Provide regular reports on receivables status, aging balances, and payables for financial reporting.


• Resolve discrepancies in accounts, payments, and invoices, and assist in collection improvement processes.


• Negotiate payment terms and discounts with customers and vendors when necessary.


• Manage dealership-related expenses, reimbursements, repairs, maintenance, and other specific payables.


• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax laws, financial regulations, and company accounting policies.


• Assist with ad hoc projects and other tasks assigned by top management to support departmental and company goals.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or an accounting role (preferably in the automotive industry).


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and vendor/customer management.


• Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
