Business Analyst

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and system capabilities across Sinch's subscription billing and finance ecosystem. This role ensures business requirements are clearly captured, documented, and translated into functional and technical specifications. By aligning stakeholders across finance, IT, and operations, the Business Analyst helps guide system enhancements, support planning efforts, and deliver solutions that improve financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and scalability.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for system changes, enhancements, and reports.
• Work closely with the Zuora Administrator and Configuration Analyst to validate solutions, support implementations, and monitor outcomes.
• Support project planning, timelines, and testing efforts including UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Facilitate regular stakeholder engagement and workshops to ensure alignment on system capabilities and limitations.
• Assist in the analysis of billing and subscription-related data to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, process flows, change requests, and system logic in Confluence.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring strong communication and timely updates.
• Monitor the impact of implemented changes and recommend continuous improvements.
• Support internal training materials and knowledge sharing for new system features or processes.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within finance, billing systems, or SaaS environments.
• Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document complex business requirements.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, subscription billing models, and related operations.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams (e.g., system admins, developers, solution architects).
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Excel; exposure to Zuora or other billing platforms is a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical language.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement, user experience, and data integrity.
