What You'll Do

The Marketing Associate is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote products or services, increase brand awareness, and achieve business goals in multiple online and offline channels. This involves tasks such as market research, campaign development, budget management, and performance analysis. The marketing officer will also collaborate with various teams, represent the company at events, and stay updated on industry trends.

School Activities & Events Coverage

• Mainly covers institutional events, promotional events (i.e. Admissions events), classroom activities (as requested by the Academics team, faculty, and/or students)
• Tracks the Institutional Calendar for events and clarifies with the Team if said events require support and coverage
• Support and coverage for recurring institutional events (e.g. Open Days, Orientation Days, Graduation) does not necessitate a request from the lead department/officer
• May also cover outside-of-campus events, as requested by the lead department/officer
• In-event Coverage for Meta story (IG/FB)
• Creation of recaps (either static carousel or reels)

Creation of Marketing Collaterals

• Creates static and video collaterals to be posted either as organic or ad materials
• This includes: social media and newsletter materials
• Can also provide materials and templates (e.g. posters, invitations)
• With Graphic Designer/MMA: creates less editing-heavy materials for quick creation and posting (e.g. recap photo carousel, IG story templates)
• Works hand-in hand with Designer, who may create the template that can be readily used

Preferred platforms:

• Canva Premium (as provided by the Institute) Both for statics and reels: Allows other teams to easily access and use previous materials as templates for their departmental use
• CapCut: For reels, specifically videos that require more precision and editing tools unavailable in Canva

Management of Social Media Accounts

• Does the scheduling and posting of materials on Meta (FB, IG), TikTok, and YouTube accounts of SoFA Design Institute
• Updates the social media's information and details as needed (e.g. IG links, Linktree, etc.)

Launching of Social Media Campaigns

• With the Communications Head, leads and conceptualizes promotional strategies, mainly through organic channels
• Helps set the branding tonality through strategy and aesthetic of the campaign
• Creates the social media calendar and updates throughout the month, as needed
• Tracks the performance of posts, and may adjust campaign strategy as needed

Assistance with Collaboration & Partnerships

• May be lead or support contact, depending on the nature of the collaboration/partnership)
• When to lead: for collaborations and partnerships directly work with the Communications team (e.g. collaboration with a photographer for a campaign)
• When to support: for collaborations and partnerships led by other departments, but requires support from the Communications team (e.g. providing MoAs for Grad Show partners)

Promotional Support for Other Departments, Faculty and Students

• Marketing support—coverage, posting—is provided as requested by the department, officer, faculty, and or student.
• Usually support is provided via posting or coverage of event.

What You'll Need

• Has strong usage experience of various social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, and Linkedin. Can navigate these channels with ease.
• Has strong experience in utilizing Canva premium and Capcut for video editing
• A fast learner and enjoys learning new things and new concepts
• Thrives in a design-focused environment
• Preferably a candidate with great interest in fashion or interior design
• Willing to work onsite 5 days a week
• Must be agile and a real doer
• Communicates and presents him'/herself well and clearly
