About the Role

You'll oversee an outpatient Profee coding team handling surgical, E&M, and ED encounters. Your role is to ensure accuracy, compliance, and productivity—while mentoring coders and improving process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise outpatient Profee coding operations for hospitalist and surgical procedures.
  • Audit and review coding quality, ensuring CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS compliance.
  • Train, coach, and guide coders to meet performance and quality goals.
  • Coordinate with internal and client teams to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Ensure productivity metrics and turnaround times are consistently achieved.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in
    Profee (Professional Fee) Coding
  • 2–3 years of experience as a
    Supervisor
    in an
    outpatient setting
  • Strong knowledge of
    CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
  • Experience with
    E&M
    ,
    ED
    , and
    surgical procedure coding
  • Proficiency in
    Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or 3M Encoder
  • Certifications:
    CPC, CCS, or COC (required)
  • Willing to work
    onsite (RTO)
    on
    Morning Shift
    with
    2 consecutive rest days

  • Experience handling multi-specialty or hospitalist accounts
  • Exposure to performance reporting and coder productivity analysis
