Finance Manager – Philippines, Quezon City

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Finance Manager to lead the full finance function for our newly incorporated entity in the Philippines. Based in Quezon City, this role plays a key part in establishing sound financial systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting business growth in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be expected to lead with integrity, uphold transparency, and set high ethical standards across all financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure full compliance with local tax laws (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax)
  • Oversee journal entries, asset schedules, reconciliations, and accounts payable accuracy

2. Financial Planning, Analysis & Budgeting

  • Review financial results, make necessary accruals and adjustments
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis on revenue, cost, and margins
  • Monitor weekly cash flow and support group tax planning initiatives

3. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

  • Set up accounting systems for new entities and ensure compliance with Group policies
  • Implement financial process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Safeguard financial data integrity and ensure secure data handling

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and legal advisors
  • Provide reports and support for internal management and special projects

5. Team Leadership & Ad Hoc Duties

  • Supervise and mentor the local accounting team
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and tax incentives
  • Undertake special assignments and business support tasks as needed

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' accounting and reporting experience in the Philippines, including supervisory experience
  • Audit background preferred; experience in healthcare is an added advantage
  • Proficient in English and Tagalog, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiar with group consolidation, corporate tax, transfer pricing, and budgeting
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS, local reporting standards, and tax compliance (direct & indirect)
  • Proven experience in process improvement initiatives or finance transformation projects
  • Positive mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Willingness to travel within the Philippines, to Malaysia HQ, and other Asian locations
