Responsibilities:

Security & Access Control:

  • Enforce security measures to protect data center facilities, equipment, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
  • Manage access control biometric authentication mechanisms, and physical barriers to ensure restricted access to authorized personnel only.
  • Enforce compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.

Environmental Monitoring and Management:

  • Monitor environmental conditions within the data center, including temperature, humidity, airflow, and power consumption, to maintain optimal operating conditions.
  • Implement environmental controls and HVAC systems to regulate temperature and humidity levels and prevent equipment overheating or damage.
  • Respond promptly to environmental alerts or alarms and take corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain stability within the data center environment.
  • Coordinate Preventive Maintenance for Aircon, UPS, and Fire Suppression to the third-party vendor.

Power and Energy Management:

  • Oversee power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and backup batteries to ensure continuous and reliable power supply to data center equipment.
  • Monitor power consumption, load balancing, and energy efficiency initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs.
  • Conduct periodic testing and maintenance of power infrastructure components to ensure readiness for emergencies and minimize downtime risks.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining a Data Center ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of all electrical and mechanical systems that support data center operations.
  • Have experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring and upgrades on power infrastructure including UPS, generators, PDUs, switchgear, electrical distribution, cooling systems and related mechanical equipment.
