Job Responsibilities

In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager in overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of Metromart.
  • Direct reporting of financial operations and budgeting to the CEO
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of Metromart and other entities assigned.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections for Metromart and other entities assigned.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, government requirements, and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Manage cash flow, investments, working capital to maintain financial stability of Metromart and other entities assigned.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and policies.
  • Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
  • Helps to supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, fostering professional development and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, vendors, and other external partners as needed.
  • Other tasks may be assigned by the management from time to time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in 
    Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience
     in accounting, finance, or related roles
  • Experience in 
    financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Prior experience in supervisory or team lead roles
     preferred
  • Exposure to 
    audits, tax compliance, and internal controls
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
  • Proficient in MS Excel
     and accounting/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Ability to prepare 
    accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and supervise accounting/finance staff
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of 
    internal controls, financial policies, and compliance
  • Ability to collaborate across departments
     and align financial goals with business objectives.
