Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, located within Fort Bonifacio, the former military base and city centre. With 60 storeys, comprising 576 hotel guestrooms, 97 hotel residences and 96 exclusive Horizon Homes, the building is destined to become a Manila landmark. The new hotel will complement the company's five existing properties in the Philippines.

The mixed-use business, residential and retail tower will be located along Fifth Avenue and 30th, within the new, fast-developing Taguig business district. A 30-minute drive from the international airport, the hotel will also be close to the Manila Golf Club and Manila Polo Club, and 10 minutes from Makati district, the capital's financial, cultural and entertainment hub with first-class shopping malls.

Job Summary
Under the general guidance and management of the Assistant Chief Engineer and overall guidance and direction of the Director of Engineering within the limits established by the Engineering Services Manual, corporate policies and procedures, the Duty Engineer manages all other Engineering supervisory and rank and file staff for the efficient, timely, safe and economical operation of all the MEP systems, maintenance and repair of all Horizon Homes building facilities and MEP systems during his shift and tour of duty.

REQUIREMENT

  • Preferably a licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
  • Preferably with at least 2 years supervisory work experience in hotel operations or any field of Engineering practice
  • Preferably with experienced in staff management
  • Preferably knowledgeable in major MEP equipment operations such as Bolier, Chiller, Generator, etc
  • Preferably fluent in oral & written English
  • Preferably computer literate
  • Preferably a self-starter, Team builder, Goals oriented, Positive role model
  • Preferably willing to work long hours
