Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes supervising staff, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, driving sales, and maintaining operational standards. The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and a hands-on approach to achieving store goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.

  • Lead and motivate the team to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Supervise and support store staff in daily tasks, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

  • Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising are maintained to company standards.

  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

  • Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and minimize shrinkage.

  • Support in implementing promotions, markdowns, and in-store marketing initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.

  • Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field is an advantage.

  • 2+ years of retail or customer service experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to drive sales and meet performance targets.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional in-store experience.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.

  • Knowledge of inventory control practices and visual merchandising.

  • Team-building and conflict-resolution skills.
