About the role

Access Healthcare Services Manila, Inc. is seeking skilled IP / OP Medical Coders to join our leading Healthcare BPO team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Medical Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient coding of medical records, supporting the overall quality of healthcare delivery. What you'll be doing

  1. Reviewing medical documentation and accurately assigning appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  2. Collaborating with healthcare providers to gather additional information and resolve coding discrepancies
  3. Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support coding decisions
  4. Staying up-to-date with the latest coding regulations, guidelines, and best practices
  5. Providing training and support to colleagues on coding procedures and requirements
  6. Participating in quality assurance initiatives to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the coding process

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical coding, preferably in an inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) setting
  2. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
  3. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  4. Proficiency in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time constraints
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
