About the Role

The 3D Modeler will work closely with the Product Development team to design and model mobile tech accessories from concept to production. This fully remote role requires someone skilled in SolidWorks and rendering tools to create detailed 3D models, photorealistic renders, animations, and technical drawings. The position demands creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both domestic and international teams.

• Conceptualize, design & model products
• Create 2D drawings
• Create product renders
• Create product animations

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, Design and 3D Model Products

• Work with the product development team to usher new product concepts from conceptualization to manufacturing
• Create product documentation for new products
• Contribute to new product exploration and validation
• Collaborate with the product development team to improve design concepts
• Use Solidworks and other 3D CAD software to build 3D models of product concepts
• Refine concept models into manufacturing models
• Work with the Austin and China teams to address manufacturer feedback

Create 2D Drawings

• Create 2D concept and manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD files
• Create line art for marketing assets from 3D CAD files

Create Product Renders

• Use Keyshot/Photoshop and other graphic tools to create realistic product renders for concepts and marketing materials

Create Product Animations

• Use Keyshot and video editing software to create interesting product animations for concepts and marketing materials

QualificationsMust-Have

• 5+ years creating 3D models for plastic injected parts; experience with SolidWorks is required, but strong skills in other 3D CAD software may be considered
• Experience creating realistic animations using 3D models and rendering software
• Experience creating models for prototypes for 3D Printing
• Strong English communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have

• Experience creating photorealistic renders from 3D models
• KeyShot and Adobe Suite experience is preferred
