About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter (Supervisory Level) to join our logistics team. This role is responsible for evaluating, approving, and managing insurance coverage related to company assets, fleet operations, and employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in ensuring that all risks are accurately assessed and adequately covered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess risks associated with company assets, logistics operations, and employee insurance coverage.
  • Review insurance applications, endorsements, and claims to determine coverage eligibility and terms.
  • Negotiate insurance policies, rates, and renewals with brokers and insurance providers.
  • Ensure that all company insurance policies (fleet, property, liability, etc.) are compliant with legal and industry standards.
  • Supervise and guide the underwriter/insurance support team in policy review, documentation, and claims management.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, HR, and Operations teams for timely filing and renewal of insurance requirements.
  • Analyze loss trends and provide recommendations to minimize company exposure and improve risk control.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records and reports for management review.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal insurance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or any related field.
  • At least 2 years of solid experience in insurance underwriting, preferably within the logistics, transportation, or manufacturing industry.
  • With supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong understanding of general insurance, fleet insurance, property coverage, and employee benefit programs.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and insurance management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
