Misc Metals CAD Detailer – US Client Support

We're hiring a Steel Detailer to work with a US-based team on bar grating and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects. You'll create precise shop drawings, erection layouts, and material takeoffs using Autodesk Advanced Steel. Coordination with engineers, PMs, and fabricators is key. Ideal candidates are meticulous, deadline-driven, and fluent in interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drawings using Autodesk Advanced Steel
- Extract and interpret data from architectural/structural plans
- Generate shop drawings, erection drawings, and BOMs
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators
- Maintain documentation, revisions, and drawing accuracy
- Ensure compliance with AISC, OSHA, and client standards
- Support clash detection, model reviews, and cross-trade coordination
- Deliver outputs on time while maintaining high detailing precision
Qualifications
- 3+ years in steel or miscellaneous metals detailing (2 years may be considered)
- Strong Autodesk Advanced Steel skills (Tekla a plus)
- Deep understanding of fabrication and field installation requirements
- Able to read structural and architectural drawings clearly
- Familiar with AISC and OSHA codes
- Strong English communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with grating manufacturers or metal fabricators
