Job Summary:

We are seeking a Autocad/ 3DS Max CAD Designer who can create both 2D and 3D technical drawings for the design of mechanical devices (convection ovens, holding units, steamtables, etc.). The successful applicant will work closely with our Sales team. This person will also support and participate in the Computer Aided Design/Drafting team on sales drawings as needed.

The designs must be in line with the company procedure, regulations and client standards to provide the foundation for a quality product. Tools used to create the drawings will be Autocad, 3DS Max and Revit. Revising the designs of existing drawings is also a part of the Autocad CAD Designer tasks.

The successful applicant for this job will also be required to be a highly motivated individual contributor that values learning and can see their success as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of design drawings in a 3D environment
  • Assist in the development of design drawings in a 2D environment
  • Assist in developing preliminary drawings generated from a quote or sketch
  • Assist in revising current drawings from written mark-ups
  • Following checklists to ensure drawings are of the highest standard
  • Perform other duties as directed or assigned: The above list of essential duties is not exhaustive. It only defines some of the main responsibilities. An employee may be required to perform additional tasks not listed above.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in Visual 3D CPQ platform enhancements
  • Experience in Photoshop
  • Experience in Solidworks
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in creating technical drawings
  • Proficient in current version of AutoCAD, Revit, Studio 3DS Max
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Teams/Planner
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills

Schedule:

  • Hybrid
  • Mondays and Fridays (Work from Home)
  • Tuesdays to Thursday (Onsite)
  • Mid-shift: 12nn to 10pm
  • Additional every 2nd Friday rest day
