Financial Accounting Unit Head

About the RoleAs the Financial Accounting Unit Head, you are responsible for the overall operation and supervision of the Financial Accounting JV Unit, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures in all general accounting transactions. You will supervise and direct the operation of subledgers managed by the team, such as Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivables, and Project Financial Management within the Oracle ERP System. You must ensure the integrity of records and reports, effective internal controls, and continuously assess procedures for team improvement.
How you'll contributeEnsure timely and accurate review and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Understand relevant policies, legislation, accounting standards, regulations, and tax principles, and supervise officers' work to ensure compliance in general ledger and subledger processes. Adhere to internal and external reporting requirements, including audits, tax, and risk management, and resolve operational and accounting issues through reconciliation reviews.
Monitor and review the unit's Key Result Areas (KRAs). Set clear objectives and goals for the team and support their professional development.
Maintain updated access rights and authority limits in Oracle and FBEQ by periodically reviewing the security matrix to prevent unauthorized access and transactions. Perform other related tasks as assigned. What
We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accountancy or a relevant field. Public Accountant certification is a plus but not required. At least 10 years of experience in people management, preferably in leasing or financing industries.
Knowledge of accounting standards, government laws, and bulletins. Analytical with keen attention to detail and strong leadership skills. Proficient in computer applications.
