PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prepares and cooks dishes with a focus on hot-side techniques such as frying, grilling, and sautéing. Ensures consistent food quality, proper station setup, cleanliness, and efficient service. Works closely with Prep Cooks for batching and mise en place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook and prepare dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Execute frying, grilling, sautéing, and related cooking methods
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation

Batching & Prep Support:

  • Assist in batching sauces, stocks, and other prepared items
  • Coordinate with Prep Cooks for mise en place and replenishment

Station Management:

  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked station
  • Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Maintain speed and accuracy during service

Inventory & Equipment Care:

  • Monitor station ingredients and report shortages
  • Follow stock rotation procedures
  • Use equipment safely and report maintenance needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years experience as a Line Cook or similar role
  • Knowledge of basic hot-side cooking techniques
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
