Role Overview

The Digital Marketing Coordinator leads the execution of high-impact digital campaigns across the 1834 Hotels portfolio, with a strong focus on performance marketing, email automation, and paid advertising. This role is instrumental in driving direct bookings, elevating brand visibility, and deepening guest engagement through data-driven and creative strategies.

The position also coordinates social media content and activity, ensuring brand consistency and amplifying property-level storytelling across platforms.

Working collaboratively with the Marketing Director, Revenue and Sales teams, and on-site hotel staff, the Digital Marketing Coordinator ensures cohesive digital messaging and the delivery of results-focused campaigns that align with broader business objectives.

Position Objectives

To develop, implement, and optimise digital marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and direct revenue across the 1834 Hotels portfolio. Key focus areas include email marketing via Revinate, performance-driven paid advertising across Google and Meta platforms, and the coordination of social media content and scheduling to ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing & Automation (Revinate)

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional offers, and guest lifecycle communications, using Revinate (training provided if required).
  • Create and manage automated email workflows to engage guests at various stages of their journey, from pre-arrival to post-departure.
  • Segment email lists based on guest data to ensure targeted and personalised communications.
  • Monitor and analyse email campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and implement improvements based on insights.
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices and regulations.

Paid Digital Advertising

· Plan and execute paid digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), and display networks

· Manage advertising budgets and optimise for maximum ROI and direct conversions.

· Liaise with creative partners and internal teams to produce compelling ad assets and landing pages.

· Analyse campaign results and provide regular performance reporting.

Social Media Support

  • Coordinate and schedule organic social media content for select properties and the AUS Weekend Escapes destination brand.
  • Collaborate with the on-site hotel teams to source content and maintain consistent platform activity.
  • Assist with planning and monitoring paid social media campaigns in alignment with broader digital strategy.

Website Content Management

  • Ensure all hotel and brand websites within the portfolio have current, accurate, and optimised content reflecting the latest promotions, events, and offerings.
  • Coordinate website updates and content uploads in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors where applicable.
  • Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements to enhance user experience and SEO performance.

Campaign Reporting and Analysis

· Monitor and report on the performance of digital campaigns across all platforms.

· Translate data into insights and recommendations to inform future marketing initiatives.

General Marketing Support

· Contribute to campaign rollouts, content development, and internal communications.

· Support the wider marketing team with ad hoc requests and time-sensitive projects.

· Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to assist with all marketing functions as required.


Requirements

Performance & Skills Standards

· Proven experience in digital marketing within hospitality, tourism, or similar sectors.

· Experience with customer CRM platforms such as Revinate is preferred, but training will be provided.

· Proficiency in Meta Business Suite for social media campaign management.

· Hands-on experience with Google Ads and an understanding of paid media optimisation.

· Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and how they support broader marketing objectives.

· Confident managing website content and understanding basic SEO best practices.

· Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and campaign dashboards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

· Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

· Team-oriented and comfortable collaborating with remote teams and diverse stakeholders.
