An HR/Admin Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, primarily focusing on tasks like maintaining employee records, processing paperwork for new hires and terminations, assisting with recruitment, scheduling interviews, managing employee benefits, updating HR databases, and responding to employee inquiries, ensuring smooth operations within the HR function
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, or feedback sessions to understand employee concerns and needs.
- Assist in the design of employee recognition programs and initiatives that promote a positive organizational culture.
- Address employee grievances and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate and mediate conflicts between employees, and between employees and management, ensuring fair resolutions.
- Advise and coach managers on conflict management strategies and employee behavior issues.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to workplace standards regarding discipline, attendance, and performance management.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employee-related issues, ensuring due process.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Keep abreast of labor law changes and advise management on necessary updates to policies or procedures.
- Assist with audits and inspections related to employee relations and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management, facilitating open and transparent communication.
- Provide management with feedback on employee concerns, suggestions, and morale.
- Conduct meetings with employees to communicate important policy updates, organizational changes, or initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to conflict resolution, employee rights, workplace behavior, and communication.
- Educate employees and managers on company policies, labor laws, and best practices for handling employee relations issues.
- Conduct investigations into workplace complaints or misconduct, ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with HR and management to resolve issues and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Assist in the performance management process, ensuring that employees are given appropriate feedback, coaching, and support.
- Help resolve any performance-related issues or disputes and assist in implementing performance improvement plans.
- Provide employees with guidance and support regarding their rights, company policies, and available resources (e.g., grievance procedures).
- Support the onboarding process by introducing new employees to company policies and the workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including employee rights and workplace safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience in conducting investigations and handling sensitive situations with discretion.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and emotional employee issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism in all situations.
Job Type: Full-time
