About the Role

The Head of Collection Operations is responsible for leading end-to-end collection servicing across all lending products including loans, cards, and other receivables. This role ensures accurate billing, efficient payment posting, and strong control of receivables to support portfolio health, recovery targets, and customer experience. You will lead large teams and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure process excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Operations Leadership

  • Lead billing, posting, and portfolio maintenance for all credit products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple channels and collection partners
  • Drive resolution of system gaps, reconciling items, and account discrepancies to maintain data integrity
  • Monitor collection performance metrics and implement action plans to improve recoveries and cash flow

Governance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards
  • Strengthen internal controls to minimize operational risk, errors, and customer impact
  • Prepare and present performance and risk insights to senior leadership

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and build capabilities of collection servicing teams (billing, posting, portfolio maintenance, reporting)
  • Partner with Branch Operations, Product, IT, Finance, and Risk on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage vendors and payment partners to maintain service level quality and turnaround times
