Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated Vendor & Market Research Specialist to support our team on an ongoing, contract basis. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a comprehensive database of vendors across various industries and U.S. cities. This position requires strong research skills, accuracy, and consistency in data collection.


Job Highlights

Monthly Rate: 55,000-60,000

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: To be determined

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are hourly and depend on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted online research to find and document vendors (e.g., catering, photography, venues) in specific U.S. cities.
  • Collect key vendor data such as business name, contact details, average pricing/rates, and a short description of services.
  • Populate a shared spreadsheet or database with accurate, consistent, and complete information.
  • Perform project-based research tasks, such as identifying 10 catering companies in a specific city and gathering rate/contact data.
  • Review and verify existing vendor information to ensure all data remains current and accurate.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in online research, data collection, or a similar role.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple research tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or other spreadsheet/data tools.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
