INTERN ARCHITECT Reports to Architect

Overview:

Architects are professionals responsible for designing and planning the construction of buildings and structures. They combine creative and technical skills to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs of clients while adhering to building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualization and Design:

  • Develop innovative and functional design concepts based on client requirements.
  • Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Project Planning:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project goals, budget constraints, and timeframes.
  • Develop project plans and timelines, considering all aspects of construction and resource allocation.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  • Obtain necessary approvals and permits from relevant authorities.

Material Selection and Specification:

  • Research and select appropriate construction materials, considering durability, sustainability, and budget constraints.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for materials and construction methods.

Coordination:

  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers, interior designers, and contractors, to ensure a cohesive and successful project.
  • Oversee construction progress and adjust as needed.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the design and construction process.

Education and Competencies:

Education:

Taking professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution is typically required. This can include a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Design Skills:

  • Proficiency in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
  • Creativity and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage projects from concept to completion, including budgeting and scheduling.

Problem Solving:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges during the design and construction phases.

Collaboration:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Attention to Detail:

  • Precision in creating accurate and detailed plans and specifications.

Continuing Education:

  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuing education.

Certifications:

  • Optional certifications in specialized areas of architecture

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php100.00 per day
