Application Specialist

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 relevant years of experience from Data Engineering, System Analysis, L2/L3 Support, DevOps, or any relevant background
  • Must be Proficiency in SQL Scripting who can write complex query with PL/SQL/PostgreSQL/MSSQL
  • L2/L3 support experience who can resolve complex issues of business applications
  • Knowledgeable with ETL and Data Operations including the Datawarehousing, ETL process, Data Manipulation, Data Validation, etc
  • Exposure to AWS Infrastructure including the Lambda, EC2, S3, redshift, etc
  • Can automate jobs using Python and/or Control-M
  • Experience in Global Finance Services or FinOps is highly desirable but not required

Responsibilities:

Productivity and Quality


• Resolve business application (utilized for Reporting and Data Analytics)  issues quickly to ensure smooth operations.


• Facilitate the transition of application features from development to production.


• Develop initiatives to continuously improve and optimize operations.


• Automate manual activities to enhance consistency and efficiency.


• Participate in small to mid-sized projects related to operations.

Collaboration


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident/problem management.


• Build and maintain good relationships with business users and platform team members.


• Interact with mid-level business leaders to align on operational priorities.


• Onboard new team members and foster collaboration within the team.

Leadership


• Develop expertise in platform and business applications.


• Identify areas for self-development and build subject matter expertise.


• Own at least one operational activity in the platform.


• Manage escalations related to operational topics.
