We're Hiring: Junior Backend Developer (Full Stack Experience a Plus)

Location: Cebu city, onsite for the first 6 months then transition to hybrid

Shift Schedule: Dayshift (10am-7pm)

Your Role

As a Junior Backend Developer, you'll be part of our product team, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise-level systems. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with senior developers, product owners, UX/UI designers, and business analysts.

This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their technical expertise and learn from senior mentors while working with modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and implement effective, secure, and maintainable software
  • Assist in quality assurance through unit, integration, and performance testing (manual and automated)
  • Support database design, development, and optimization (PostgreSQL)
  • Help maintain build pipelines, middleware, and related infrastructure
  • Follow clean code principles and participate in peer code reviews
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and senior team members during planning and feature discussions
  • Provide basic support for delivered products and applications
  • Continuously learn and contribute to process improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in software development (fresh grads with strong internship experience may also apply)
  • Solid foundation in Java (Java SE 21) and Spring Boot (required)
  • Basic knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Maven (experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with tools like Git, GitLab, Confluence, Jira, IntelliJ IDEA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow best practices such as TDD, pair programming, and clean code principles
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
