We're Hiring: Mid Backend Developer (Full Stack Experience a Plus)

Location: Cebu city, onsite for the first 6 months then transition to hybrid

Shift Schedule: Dayshift (10am-7pm)

Your Role

As a Mid Backend Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and optimization of enterprise-level systems. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle—coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications—while collaborating with senior developers, product owners, designers, and analysts.

This role is ideal for someone with solid technical experience who's ready to take on more responsibility and gradually mentor junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and implement effective, secure, and maintainable software
  • Conduct quality assurance through unit, integration, and performance testing (manual & automated)
  • Participate in database design, development, and optimization (PostgreSQL)
  • Help maintain and improve build pipelines, middleware, and infrastructure
  • Apply clean code principles and actively contribute to peer reviews
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on planning, feature evaluation, and solution discussions
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for delivered products
  • Support junior developers through guidance and code review
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in Java (Java SE 21) and Spring Boot (main requirements)
  • Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Maven
  • Familiarity with tools such as OpenShift, Git, GitLab, Confluence, Jira, IntelliJ IDEA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of software development practices (e.g., TDD, BDD, Pair Programming, Clean Code)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide junior developers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
