Payor Relations Team Lead

The Payor Relations Team Lead plays a key role in managing and improving the operational and technological processes that support Medilink's relationships with its payor clients. This role requires a strategic and analytical thinker who can drive process innovation, mentor team members, and ensure effective collaboration between internal departments and external partners. The Team Lead will also oversee reporting functions and play a critical part in client-facing engagements.
Primary Functions:
1. Process Improvement & Innovation
- Lead initiatives to enhance and automate manual operational workflows.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose sustainable solutions to improve productivity and service delivery.
2. IT and Operations Analysis
- Conduct regular analysis of both IT and operational processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and system upgrades.
3. Training and Development
- Mentor and guide Payor Relations Associates through regular training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Identify skill gaps and develop learning paths to support team growth and effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend and represent the team in meetings with Medilink payor clients.
- Prepare and submit regular reports including, but not limited to:
- Weekly progress reports
- Issue log sheets and resolution status
- Monitor team KPIs and ensure alignment with departmental targets.
- Coordinate with internal departments (IT, Claims, Customer Service, etc.) to resolve client-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or other related fields.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in business operations, IT processes, or healthcare systems.
- Experience in a client-facing or team leadership role is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in leading meetings and conducting professional presentations
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in generating and interpreting reports for operational or management use
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
