Summary of the Role:

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the purchasing activities for all food-related materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies. This role ensures the timely sourcing of high-quality products at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with food safety standards and supplier requirements. The supervisor leads vendor negotiations, evaluates supplier performance, monitors stock levels, and coordinates closely with production, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to support uninterrupted operations. The position also implements cost-saving initiatives, strengthens procurement processes, and ensures all purchases align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, or related field.

At least 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain—preferably in the food manufacturing, food service, or FMCG industry.

Strong knowledge of food sourcing, ingredient specifications, food safety standards, and supplier compliance requirements (e.g., HACCP, GMP).

Experience in vendor management, price negotiation, and contract management.

Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems and strong MS Excel skills.

Strong understanding of inventory management and forecasting for perishable goods.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and cost control.

Ability to supervise and guide a procurement team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.

Knowledge of market trends in food ingredients, raw materials, and packaging.
