Accounting Officer (Construction Company)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the company's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.
  • Check monthly payroll, financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with BIR Tax requirements and Government Mandated Benefits (GMB's)
  • Coordinate audits and prepare necessary documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial procedures and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related courses.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience in a construction company is a plus.
