Job Summary:

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of terminal equipment used to transfer, store, and handle bulk molasses.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Operate pumps, valves, meters, and loading arms to transfer molasses between transport modes (trucks, barges, ships).
  • Weighing: Scale incoming full trucks and outgoing empty trucks.
  • Quality Control: Collect molasses samples from trucks, conduct brix tests, and allow unloading only for those that pass.
  • Monitoring: Track product levels and quality in tanks/silos, and adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance of terminal equipment and facilities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and enforce proper PPE use for all personnel on-site.
  • Documentation: Secure supplier waybills, retain scale tickets, and maintain accurate records of product movements, spot sales, inventory, maintenance activities, and other reports required by management.
  • Communication: Coordinate effectively with co-workers, management, and stakeholders to support a safe and productive environment.
  • Reporting: Submit standard operational reports and report any unusual incidents or irregularities.
  • Support Roles: Assist the Terminal Manager during importations and support overall Bacolod Office operations as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks assigned by the Terminal Manager and Bacolod Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate (any 4-year course).
  • Must have a background and certifications in health and safety.
  • Skilled in operating bulk handling equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in safety procedures, environmental regulations, and emergency response.
  • Detail-oriented for product handling, quality control, and record keeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physically capable of operating equipment and performing facility maintenance tasks.
  • Amenable to work in Bacolod, Negros Occidental
