What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in numerical, analytical, or computational disciplines (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years' experience in data and analytics in corporate environments, ideally in transport, tourism, or finance
• Experience with Snowflake platform is a plus
• Analytical thinker with strong trend-identification skills
• Proficient in SQL; familiar with Python or other data programming languages
• Skilled in reporting and data visualization, especially Microsoft PowerBI
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• High ethical standards and integrity

Your Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

• Ensure work supports strategic goals of the Data & Analytics team and Technology department

Development and Systems Management

• Identify data sources, in-house or third-party
• Follow data collection patterns to ingest data from various sources
• Improve data transformation patterns to structure, sanitize, and secure data
• Design and improve data models for widespread consumption
• Generate insights from data sets, identifying trends and patterns
• Create, maintain, and review reports and dashboards for all users
• Support and administer data and analytics platforms
• Write and maintain documentation, including user requirements, guides, technical specifications, and glossaries

Team and Culture

• Follow all data and analytics processes and policies
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes
• Participate in review processes to support quality assurance and ongoing education

Operational Excellence

• Review and resolve issues identified through IT Service Management tools
• Measure data quality and identify areas for remediation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, including prioritization, scheduling, and delivery

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with business users to translate needs into data and analytics requirements
• Coach and support end users and data professionals within the IT department and operating divisions

Budget and Resource Management

• Optimize designs and implementations for responsible use of compute, storage, and cost-incurring components
• Deliver work on time following team processes and policies, supported by documentation
