CISCO Engineer (VOIP)

We are seeking a seasoned CISCO Engineer (VOIP) with a proven track record in supporting, implementing, and optimizing large-scale enterprise voice infrastructure. This individual will be highly business-oriented, committed to excellence, and skilled in delivering robust voice network solutions that align with organizational goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with peers across the corporate network team to ensure consistent and standardized voice services. They will contribute to the overall network architecture and play a key role in maintaining high-quality voice infrastructure across the enterprise.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade voice network systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure consistent standardization of voice services across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless voice network services.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex voice infrastructure issues.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in 24x7 shift or on-call rotation as required.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Expertise in voice network hardware/software, topologies, and protocols.

  • Extensive experience with Cisco VoIP infrastructure, including:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

  • Cisco Unity Connection
  • Cisco Voice Portal (CVP)
  • Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
  • Cisco Emergency Responder (CER)
  • Cisco Attendant Console
  • Cisco WebEx Meeting Center
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Management Edition (SME)
  • Strong background in ACD and IVR systems at enterprise scale.
  • Proficiency in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunks, VXML Gateways, PSTN Trunks (FXO, T1/E1).
  • Solid understanding of QoS for voice and video infrastructure and enterprise dial-plan design.
  • Demonstrated ability in voice network planning, architecture design, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to understand client expectations and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Retail industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • CCNA Collaboration certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years as a lead voice support engineer in enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering and deployment experience in voice infrastructure.
