We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accounting Manager, who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a solid background in accounting leadership. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of supervisory experience and 3–5 years in a managerial role. This position plays a key role in both operational accounting oversight and strategic financial support to the EVP – Treasurer.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for administrative and financial functions, including the production of accurate financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, execution of internal controls, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. The role also involves executive-level financial reporting, strategic accounting support, and conducting training needs analysis to strengthen the capabilities of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive & Strategic Support:

  • Provide direct administrative, analytical, and financial support to the EVP – Treasurer.
  • Prepare and present executive-level financial reports, summaries, and dashboards to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in the development of financial strategies, long-term planning, and policy formulation.
  • Analyze financial data and key metrics to guide high-level business strategy and forecasting.

Accounting Oversight:

  • Implements accounting/financial reporting standards.
  • Reviews tax returns created by line supervisors.
  • Provides governance on bookkeeping/recording of transactions.
  • Creates internal controls to tighten processes. (for future reference)
  • Reviews existing bookkeeping/accounting processes and recommends improvement where necessary.

Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Evaluate and continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures, and workflows within the department.
  • Provides assessment and manpower requirements for the department as needed.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct training needs analysis for the accounting team to identify skill gaps and performance improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement training programs and upskilling initiatives to support staff development and succession planning.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Runs regular huddle/meeting to provide brief updates related to accounting.
  • Ensures the team is always updated on the latest update on taxation rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting manager.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Experience in executive reporting and presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with strategic accounting practices such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost management.
  • Proficient in accounting software, tools and advanced excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Willing to be assigned in Cubao, Quezon City.
