AV ENGINEER

CLIENT: AUSTRALIA; REMOTE

SHIFT: DAY / MORNING PHT

TYPE: FULL TIME; INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Engineer with over 5 years of experience in AV system design, drafting, and post-sales engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering end-to-end audiovisual solutions across diverse environments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, draft, and engineer integrated AV systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed system documentation, including schematics, signal flow diagrams, rack layouts, and cabling schedules.
  • Provide technical expertise during the post-sales phase, collaborating with project managers and installation teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Configure, test, and commission AV systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support both onsite and remotely.
  • Liaise with vendors and clients to align technical requirements with project goals.
  • Ensure all systems are delivered within defined scope, timelines, and budget constraints.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong expertise in distributed audio systems (analogue, Dante, AES67).
  • Proficiency in distributed video technologies (HDBaseT, AV over IP – e.g., Crestron NVX).
  • Experience working with LED walls, projection systems, and professional display technologies.
  • Knowledge of speaker systems and AV/lighting control platforms.
  • Familiarity with stage lighting design and system cabling infrastructure.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication abilities for working with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in AV system design, drafting, or post-sales engineering.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex AV systems on scope and budget.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, Dante, Crestron, Extron) are highly desirable.

Computer and Peripherals Specifications (Mandatory)

  • The contractor must have a good working computer with at least 3 Ghz processor,8 GB of RAM, Sound card, 15-17" dual- monitor.
  • Operating system :​ Newest version is preferred (Windows 10)
  • Software : Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word and Excel), and/or Adobe Acrobat reader.
  • Anti-Virus and spyware protection software and a working firewall.
  • Dual Monitor: ​Dual monitor works well even with laptops. It eases collaboration and makes the job easy. This is a requirement for all contractors.
  • Noise Reduction Headsets: ​The Contractor is required to purchase a noise canceling headset (preferably the Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets) before commencement. Please inquire from our recruiters where to purchase.
  • Web Camera​ : Working High-Definition Webcam (A4 tech or Logitech are good brands to consider)
  • Internet Connection: Must be 25 Mbps at the least, wired connection, Cable connection is fine if it's more than 15 Mbps. We DO NOT accept plug-ins, wi-fi, or wimax.
