We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Your expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues will be crucial in ensuring the proper functioning and efficiency of these systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including but not limited to split systems, packaged units, chillers, and cooling towers.
  • Perform routine inspections to assess system performance, identify faults, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects in HVAC systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and minimize breakdowns.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution of issues and excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, services performed, and time spent on each task.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a secure working environment and compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated with advancements in refrigeration and air conditioning technologies, attending training sessions and workshops as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a relevant vocational or technical training program is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including their components, functions, and installation procedures.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues related to HVAC equipment.
  • Familiarity with refrigerants, their handling, and relevant safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the nature of the project.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
