CAD Operator/Draftsman

About the Role

We are seeking a talented CAD Operator with strong experience in mechanical and civil drafting and proficiency in Lumion visualization. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, updating, and rendering high-quality 2D and 3D drawings and presentations that support both technical and client-facing projects.

You'll work closely with engineers and project managers to bring design concepts to life — from technical layouts to photorealistic visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical and civil projects using AutoCAD and related software.
• Develop 3D models and rendered visualizations using Lumion for project presentations and design reviews.
• Interpret sketches, layouts, and engineering specifications accurately.
• Produce detailed drawings for mechanical assemblies, piping layouts, civil site plans, and structural elements.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with design teams to coordinate mechanical and civil interfaces.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and manage revision control.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Mechanical/Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in CAD drafting, with both mechanical and civil design exposure.
• Software Proficiency:
• AutoCAD (required)
• Lumion (required for rendering and visualization)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and civil drawing standards and symbols.
• Good eye for design detail and visualization.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating 3D renderings, animations, and walkthroughs in Lumion.
• Understanding of BIM workflows and coordination between disciplines.
• Familiarity with industry codes and drafting standards (ASME, ACI, ISO, etc.)
