About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Leslie Corporation as a Butcher. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality meat cutting and preparation services to our customers. As an integral part of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expertly cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of meats to customer specifications
  • Ensuring all meat products are stored and handled according to food safety regulations
  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering advice and recommendations to customers
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including cleaning and sanitising equipment
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
  • Collaborating with the wider team to contribute to the overall success of the business

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Butcher or in a similar meat preparation role
  • Strong knife skills and the ability to accurately cut and prepare a variety of meats
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide knowledgeable advice
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • The ability to work efficiently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
