Description:

Responsible for ensuring that the company complies with environmental laws and regulations related to pollution control, waste management, and environmental sustainability. The PCO develops, implements, and monitors pollution control programs and works closely with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare and submit required environmental reports and permits to regulatory agencies (e.g., DENR, EPA, local government units).
  • Monitor and manage the facility's emissions, discharges, hazardous waste, and other pollutants.
  • Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure environmental protection measures are in place.
  • Develop and implement pollution prevention and waste minimization programs.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate with third-party laboratories and contractors for environmental sampling, testing, and waste hauling.
  • Act as a liaison with environmental regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and inquiries.
  • Provide training and awareness programs on pollution control and environmental compliance to employees.
  • Respond to environmental incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
