Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing financial records, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes.

As an Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks, from accounts payable and receivable to bank reconciliations and financial reporting. You'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data while working independently in a remote environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process and track employee expense reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes.
What we're looking for:
  • A college graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
