Role Overview

The successful candidate will become part of a core Operations function, within an expanding Manila office, providing both regional and global support for our varied businesses, through the delivery of assigned Business As Usual (BAU) activities, project implementation and developing Subject Matter Expertise (SME).

Working closely with peers and management in delivering high quality output, working collaboratively across multiple teams and departments, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.

There will be an expectation that successful candidates will be able to work appropriate shift patterns to support the relevant region, or deliver time sensitive tasks, as necessary.

Role Responsibilities

Dependent upon the Operations Team in which you are working, your role may include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all trades arrive from the various front end trade capture systems are processed into such in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all trades are delivered to the client, via a 3rd Party electronic mechanism (e.g. Markitwire, Bloomberg, Refinitiv) or via either Fax, or E-Mail (or alternative route, such as ACS) are sent out successfully and liaise with business/clients for non-delivery issue.
  • Monitor all electronic confirmation processes, to ensure that clients are pick up and accept trades in a timely manner.
  • Resolve any queries in relation to non-delivery of electronic confirmations, liaising with either the 3rd Party Vendor and/or the Ops Services team, to ensure delivery by amending the trade after any changes / permission being granted.
  • Operating with a high level of skill and diligence, supporting the business with post trade amendments and cancellations.
  • Update brokerage rate into brokerage rate maintenance system and ensure they are all correct.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reports where required to Business and Operational management or other function teams are delivered and duly sign off by business where applicable,
  • Support any ad-hoc client or business request in terms of report requirements
  • Involve in any new project and new business initiatives
  • Work closely with business and support function stakeholders on all matters related to assigned tasks to resolve queries and maintain effective and productive relationships
  • To support Management on project implementation through effective testing as and when required
  • Become a subject matter expert through learning the end-to-end process and system functionalities
  • Assisting with the design and implementing of processes to ensure tasks are documented and to mitigate risk exposure
  • Assist with internal and external audit programs.
  • To fulfil any additional/ad-hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Has basic knowledge of multiple asset classes, including Rates, FX Forwards and Money market.
  • Possesses operational experience, ideally from a financial services background, and be able to show evidence as to products knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with the front office.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, possesses high organisation skills & a proactive approach
  • Demonstrates strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly effective written & oral communication skills; adapts communication style to suit audience
  • Shows evidence of being comfortable working in fast paced or pressured environments
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office applications e.g, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Desired

  • Knowledge of or experience in working in the financial services sector
  • Comfortable with managing client queries interacting with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations, both internal and external
  • Comfortable with working within and reporting in a KPI driven environment
  • Comfortable with processing in a controls environment and evidence of controls process improvement.
  • Comfortable to use good judgement and escalate where appropriate.
  • Comfortable with or experience of working in a Corporate/large firm environment
