The Social Studies Research Intern will assist in all stages of the research process — from data collection and management to statistical analysis and reporting. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about education, social science, and using quantitative methods to drive social change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of quantitative research projects involving public schools.
  • Collect, organize, and clean datasets from surveys, administrative records, or assessments.
  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses using software such as Excel, SPSS, R, or Stata.
  • Support the development of research instruments (e.g., surveys, questionnaires).
  • Contribute to data visualization and presentation of findings for internal and public reports.
  • Coordinate with school partners to ensure ethical and accurate data collection.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on research findings and program improvement.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Social Studies, Education, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, Political Science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in education and social equity.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata, Excel, or Python).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse school and community stakeholders.

Job Type: OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Php15, Php18,000.00 per month
