The Head of Security will lead and oversee all security operations across Biggs Inc. including it's restaurants and corporate office. This role ensures the safety of personnel, assets, and facilities while coordinating closely with Security Guards provided through external security agencies. The Head of Security will develop and enforce security policies, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive measures to safeguard the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise and coordinate the activities of Security Guards deployed at restaurants and the head office
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide security protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
  • Serve as the main liaison with security agencies, ensuring compliance with contracts, standards, and performance expectations
  • Provide training and guidance to Security Guards and staff on security awareness, incident reporting and emergency procedures
  • Investigate security incidents, thefts, or breaches, and prepare timely reports with recommendations for corrective actions
  • Collaborate with operations and HR teams to ensure safety and security policies are integrated into daily activities
  • Monitor security technology, including CCTV, alarms and access control systems, and recommend upgrades as needed

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices for corporate and retail security

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology, or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in multi-site retail or restaurant operations
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and coordinate third-party security personnel
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, risk assessment, and surveillance systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures in a fast-paced environment
