Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed test cases and checklists to verify software functionality.
  • Conduct hands-on testing to identify bugs, errors, or performance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and team members to understand software requirements and ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Document test results, reports, and observations clearly and accurately.
  • Participate in requirement reviews to help clarify and validate expected software behavior.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality standards and testing best practices.
  • Communicate risks and potential issues if any quality procedures are bypassed to the team and management.
  • Work independently or as part of the team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Monitor and track identified bugs or issues until resolution.
  • Verify that the software meets specifications and operates as intended.
  • Clarify unclear requirements by coordinating with the product team to confirm test objectives.
  • Confirm that each task or feature is fully complete before marking it finished.
  • Share testing outcomes with the team to highlight successes and areas needing attention.
  • Report any blockers promptly to keep the project on track.
  • Provide constructive feedback in team meetings to support process improvements.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in software and application quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in analyzing and validating business and technical requirements.
  • Basic understanding of application development and the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • QA certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent are a plus.
  • People management and team leadership experience is not required but can be an advantage.
