We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Accounting Head to lead our finance and accounting operations. This role is crucial in managing all accounting functions related to importation, costing, inventory, and wholesale transactions, as well as budgeting and loan management. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Manage landed cost computation, inventory costing, and cost-of-goods analysis.
  • Tax filing, BIR compliance, and audits.
  • Ensure accuracy in importation-related financial records (freight, duties, VAT, etc.).
  • Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial targets.
  • Track and manage loan interests, amortizations, and payment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Monitor customer collections and supplier payments to maintain optimal cash flow.
  • Implement and strengthen internal controls and ensure process compliance.
  • Collaborate with logistics, sales, and purchasing teams on costing and financial matters.
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations to support management decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in importation, trading, or wholesale industries.
  • Strong background in costing, budgeting, tax compliance, and inventory management.
  • Experience in loan management, including interest computation and payment tracking.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
