Consolidation & Master Data Management Analyst (CMDMA)

Role Definition:

Financial Reporting and Consolidation

  • Prepares and analyzes the monthly consolidated balance sheet, profit and loss account, changes in equity, and cash flow statements;
  • Analyzes variance fluctuations relative to prior period, prior month and budget and identifies key business factors that contributes to these;
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards;
  • Liaises with respective point person(s) on outstanding action plans for consolidated items to ensure these are addressed prior to the next meeting;
  • Monitors key financial ratios for VEC;
  • Monitors the submission of monthly financial statements from subsidiaries and associates;
  • Contributes to process improvements by adopting to modern technology and challenging current business practices (i.e Consolidations tool);

Mergers & Acquisition Analysis

  • Assists in the preparation of Financial Due Diligence for power projects;
  • Researches on the latest updates on Accounting and Tax Standards;
  • Prepares financial analysis on the Company's plan for mergers & acquisitions;
  • Attends the project update and coordination meetings;
  • Monitors the conditions subsequent items for any share sale and purchase agreements;
  • Assists in the preparation of risk matrix for project;
  • Monitors the status of all power projects;
  • Coordinates with the Financial Planning and Governance team in crafting and maintaining the playbook relative to Mergers and Acquisitions guidelines and processes.

Master Data Management

  • Maintains the Uniform Chart of Accounts across the group;
  • Assigns to add or delete any account codes;
  • Assists in any project to unify the Chart of Accounts with regulatory agencies;
  • Potentially will expand to cover Customer, Fixed Assets and Inventory Master Data Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • 3 years + of relative experience in the same capacity
  • Knowledgeable in PFRS, Taxation Laws and Accounting Policies
  • Very keen to details
  • Ability to use productivity tools and IT software e.g. SAP
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
