About the Role:

The
Finance Controller
will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial health, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective financial management to support business growth. This role is highly strategic and hands-on, requiring a finance leader with deep experience in FMCG operations, cost control, and commercial decision-making. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the leadership team to drive profitability, optimize performance, and support long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Control

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and governance across all financial processes.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to support business continuity and growth.

Strategic Planning & Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leadership and commercial teams to support pricing, trade spend, and profitability analysis.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Support investment appraisals, new product launches, and market expansion initiatives

Cost & Performance Management

  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and operational KPIs to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective coordination between finance, operations, and commercial teams.

Compliance & External Relations

  • Oversee tax planning, audit, and statutory compliance.
  • Liaise with external auditors, government agencies, and financial institutions as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and risk management policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA or equivalent qualification required.
  • Minimum
    12–15 years of progressive finance experience
    , with at least
    5 years in a senior controlling or finance leadership role within FMCG
    .
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, supply chain finance, and commercial finance.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and business partnering.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.
