JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the Senior High School student Discipline Coordinator, he/she:

a. Formulates policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to the discipline, behavioral values of students.

b. Orients faculty members and students on the policies, rules and regulations on discipline.

c. Enforces and implements school rules and polices pertaining to student discipline.

d. Receives complaints, conduct investigations, determine the nature of offense pertaining to matters that are outside academic jurisdiction, promote conducive learning environment through campaign programs, forums and other activities.

e. Assist teachers in the disciplining of students, establishing a suitable system referral to the office, handling disciplinary matters in a manner in keeping with the policies of the school.

f. Conducts investigation and reasonable searches, conferences with persons concerned, guidance office referral, issuance of the certificate of Good Moral Character, requisition and use of office equipment and supplies.

g. Coordinates with class advisers, subject teachers, and guidance counselor regarding disciplinary problems of students. Assist the Principal in evaluation, supervision and disciplinary action of all students relating to campus/ classroom students' behavior.

h. Assist the Senior High School Department and the Student Affairs and Services Directorate in evaluation, supervision and disciplinary action of all students relating to campus/ classroom students' behavior.

i. Corroborates and communicates with the concerned offices and/ or departments, the faculty and personnel, the students and their parents or guardians to achieve the goals of the office judiciously and expediently.

j. Presides over, coordinates and represents school administration in the student discipline hearing process.

k. Conducts conferences with parents/ guardians about the student's behavior and violations of the school rules and regulations.

l. Imposes disciplinary sanctions to erring students. Discipline students in a fair and consistent manner using school approved procedures.

m. Oversees of implementation sanctions of discipline cases using the Restorative Approach & Formation to disciplining students.|

n. Provides a nurturing, supportive and positive climate that encourages student responsibility, using positive motivation clear routines and effective management techniques.

o. Assists, supports and accompanies the student in the fulfillment of the disciplinary sanction phase, with the usual contact points: RE: (Monitoring of disciplinary probation, processing of experience upon completion of sanction, final clearance)

p. Keep accurate and complete record of disciplinary cases of students.

q. Submits required reports.

r. Adheres to the set systems, standards, policies and procedures.

s. Maintains and maximizes the resources of the department.

t. Participates in professional and personal development, research and community extension activities.

u. Attends and represents the Student Discipline Department in meetings and/ or symposiums by internal or external network(s) concerning any area of services.

v. Coordinates and consults with the Head of Discipline Department on matters like:

i. The progress of each complaint to students to ensure each case is brought to closure in a timely manner

ii. The welfare and discipline of students

iii. The records of disciplinary cases of students.|

iv. The monthly report to provide continuity of student services.

w. Performs other duties that from time to time may be required of him/ her by the Head of the Discipline, The Student Affairs and Services Directorate, Principal and by The Management.
