Job Overview
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources operations within the lighting manufacturing company. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, talent management, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The HR Manager is crucial in fostering a positive and productive work environment that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. Manage the entire hiring process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
- HR Strategies and Initiatives: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, issues, and grievances to maintain a harmonious workplace. Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance with employment regulations. Provide guidance and support in resolving workplace conflicts.
- Training and Development: Identify employee training needs and develop programs for professional growth. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization. Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers and staff. Encourage the setting of career development goals and performance improvement plans. Ensure consistent and fair employee evaluations.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Monitor and evaluate pay trends to ensure the company remains competitive. Oversee employee benefit plans, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
- Legal and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and revise policies as needed. Manage labor disputes and other employment-related legal issues.
- HR Reporting and Metrics: Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Prepare and present reports on employee demographics, absenteeism, and turnover.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion practices within the company. Implement initiatives to create an equitable and inclusive workplace.
- Budget Management: Manage the HR budget effectively, controlling costs and making projections. Allocate funds to support HR projects and activities.
- Employee Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hiring, transferring, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is an advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
