Job Opening: Sushi Chef
Location: Manila Polo Club, Makati City
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team and bring authentic Japanese flavors to life. If you have a deep respect for traditional sushi preparation, excellent knife skills, and an eye for presentation — we'd love to meet you
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes
- Ensure freshness of all ingredients and maintain proper storage
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation at all times
- Innovate new menu items while respecting traditional techniques
- Monitor inventory and place orders for seafood and other supplies
- Ensure customer satisfaction through taste, quality, and presentation
- Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate service
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a sushi chef (at least 1 year preferred)
- Mastery in preparing various types of sushi and sashimi
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent knife handling and cutting techniques
- Attention to detail and high standards in food presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
